The The Spa experience

The Spa keeps the visit efficient. Front desk to changing room to treatment room takes about 10 minutes. The 60-minute treatment is structured around your stated focus areas. Post-treatment the therapist will note recommendations for at-home care, and you'll be on your way within 20 minutes of treatment end.

Communication matters more than most first-timers expect. The Spa's therapists speak English and Arabic (and several other languages — see the full list on the profile). Tell them pressure preference, any injuries, target areas and whether you prefer silence or conversation, before the treatment starts. Mid-treatment adjustments are welcome and won't offend.

I had a wonderful time at the spa! The massage by Lucky was outstanding, she has magic hands when it comes to massages– truly one of the best I've ever experienced. Binu, the receptionist, was incredibly helpful and kind, making the entire experience even more pleasant. The facilities were spotless and well-maintained, including a steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi, which added to the relaxation. I also appreciated that the men’s and women’s facilities are separate, allowing for a more comfortable and peaceful environment. I’ll definitely be visiting again very soon!

I was at the Spa yesterday. I had an eliminating 1 hour facial with Maria. My gosh, it was so relaxing. Lots of facial massage, neck, head and hands! My skin was glowing! Then a nice green tea followed by a dip in the jacuzzi. Very nice. Thankyou Maria!

I booked for one hour long massage and I got only 45 minutes or less, they said because I came late and they have appointments. They should have informed me or charged me less but they charged me for the whole hour. Also the therapist vibes were off like she just wanted to finish quickly and didnt care enough. I am 4 weeks postpartum and I was looking forward for the session to relax and feel good but the experience was so disappointing. Never coming again.

Unfortunately, our recent visit to this spa was a huge disappointment. We've been here before and always considered it a luxury experience, but this time was completely different — a 0 out of 10. The service quality has dropped drastically, and it’s nothing like what we experienced in the past. We came back expecting the same standard, but were shocked by the decline. The staff was incredibly disrespectful, which is completely unacceptable, It’s truly sad to see such a well-regarded place lose its charm. Definitely not what we expected, and unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

I had a massage and body scrub with Rani, both treatments were amazing - thank you Rani! Binu on reception helped me make my booking via email and was very helpful. He was very welcoming and informative when I arrived also. Overall I had a great time here.

Getting there

Location and transport

Neighbourhood: Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Yas Island's resort spas (W Yas, Yas Hotel, Park Inn) cater to weekend visitors and Formula 1 / Yas Marina patrons. Recovery and sports massage are popular.

Island location, no train: Yas Island is car-and-taxi only. Plan around event-day congestion. The venue itself sits at Mangroves by IHG - M Floor Yas Dr St - Yas Island - Yas Plaza - Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates (24.4679°N, 54.5995°E).

Hours vary. WhatsApp checks same-day availability fastest. Weekday daytime is usually open to walk-ins; Abu Dhabi weekend evenings need 2–3 days of lead time, especially for couples suites.

What you need to know on arrival

What to prepare, what happens during, and how to recover — the practical pipeline.

On payment: cash, card and debit work at most venues here (check WhatsApp for Apple Pay or specific card types). Tipping convention is 10–15% in cash, handed to the therapist directly rather than left at reception.
