Spalist's editorial principles

Verification cadence

Every listing on Spalist passes a four-point editorial check — trade-licence validity, working WhatsApp + phone contact, on-site hygiene walk-through, and Google-review reconciliation against on-site notes — before it goes live. The same check runs again on a rolling 90-day cycle.

Pay-for-placement disclosure

Featured placement is paid (AED 500/month) and clearly marked with a chip on every card. Editor's-pick badges are unpaid and decided independently. Featured status does not influence editorial ranking on /top or /guides pages.

Owner relationships

We accept listing fees from venues. We do not accept commission on bookings, paid 'top of guide' positions inside editorial features, or marketing budget that's contingent on coverage tone. Spa owners can WhatsApp the editorial team to flag inaccuracies; we publish corrections inside 48 hours.
