Guerlain Spa - The Palm

I had a very disappointing experience. I booked this spa expecting a luxurious experience worthy of the Guerlain Spa name. We drove for an entire hour from Downtown to reach the location and even extended our flight booking specifically to experience this place. Upon arrival, I was surprised to be placed in the makeup room to wait for my massage instead of a proper private waiting area, despite the spa being large and seemingly luxurious. Later, I went to the massage room, and to be fair, the massage itself was good. However, after the massage, I was shocked to learn that there is no relaxation room. I was expected to return to the reception area (the makeup room) to relax, which is completely unacceptable for a spa of this caliber. When I refused, the therapist informed me that I could stay in the treatment room and that tea would be served. Unfortunately, the tea was brought without even a table to place it on, and I was expected to stand near the sink to drink it. To make matters worse, when leaving, no one guided me to the exit. I wandered around for quite some time before finally finding the gate on my own. There is nothing truly “Guerlain” about this spa except for the name and the location. The actual experience felt more like a neighborhood spa rather than a luxury destination. This is an honest review, and if you are considering visiting, I strongly advise you to think twice.

We visited the spa and really enjoyed the experience — the place was clean, relaxing, and beautifully set up. I’ve always loved Guerlain, so I was really excited to visit. However, the only downside was the relaxation area with the steam room and sauna. It only fits about three people, which was inconvenient since we came as a group. We had to do our massages in shifts, and there were also other guests wanting to use the space, so we couldn’t fully relax or enjoy that part of the experience.

I had the best 60 minutes full body massage! The place is amazing and the technician is so much professional. I will definitely give it a second try with other services.

One of the worst spa experiences I’ve had in Dubai in years — definitely not worth it. The spa lacks basic facilities like a jacuzzi, and the steam and sauna rooms are extremely small, unable to accommodate the number of guests. The relaxation area had only three lounge chairs, so there was literally nowhere to sit. There was only one toilet, with people lining up to use it. On top of that, we were told to leave by 5 p.m. because the area would then be reserved for men. As for the massage —i booked 90 minutes and my friend booked 60min, it was very poor. The therapists had an extremely light touch, which felt nothing like a proper massage. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

This was an absolutely beautiful place. The staff were super friendly and the masseuse were extremely skilled. We were greeted by the reception with some welcome drinks which was delicious. Afterwards we were led to the facilities area which we had to reserve in advance. We have the entire facilities to ourselves so the privacy was very welcomed. Afterwards we had our actual massages and it started with a foot massage followed by a hot stone full body massage. The massage has left me feeling refreshed and re-energise, the perfect way to finish off my Dubai holiday. The one and only palm island also is a luxury paradise. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were taken back by the beauty of the entire place. I would recommend this to anyone and I think next time I visit Dubai I’ll be staying at this hotel itself.
